The Westwood Chamber of Commerce wishes to thank all who made this years Summer Festival and Health Fair a success. The weather co-operated, allowing for an inflatable slide, face painting, popcorn, cotton candy, balloons and Frisbees, all free courtesy of the merchants and our sponsors. Thanks to our volunteers who made it all happen, Sagrario Mena, Jett Gurman, Chris Alepa, JJ Krachtus, Steve Naginsky, Paul Leshinsky, and John Samborgna.
Our first ever Health fair attracted over 20 exhibitors and provided blood screenings, massages, diet advice, long term health planning and Zumba. We welcomed our newest member, HUMC North at Pascack Valley and look forward to the opening of our full service hospital. Last but not least, Police Chief Frank Regino, Captain Frank Durante, the Westwood Police Department Auxiliary officers Mayo Credle and Mike Amoruso, and Rick Woods and the DPW for making it a safe and clean event.
As an aside, I read where the malls are trying to have more family fun events. We encourage them to do so and perhaps visit Westwood in the summer and at Home for the Holidays to see how it’s done.
